Multicultural Social Support - Hunter and Central Coast
The Multicultural Social Support program provides social support services to meet the needs of frail older people and their carers from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds. The service provides appropriate activities and programs to inform, empower and support people from CALD backgrounds to make choices about living at home independently.
Services that we can provide may include:► One to one support to attend a social activity► Sharing an interest with a small group of people, supported by volunteers► Telephone based monitoring services► Letter writing for the client► Health and wellbeing development► Transport to help with shopping, visiting the doctor► Educational and informational workshops► Outings and excursionsCurrent groups include Chinese, Vietnamese, Filipino, Spanish speaking, Samoan and general multicultural groups across the Hunter and Central Coast.For further information please call 0249693399 or email on nss@nsservices.com.au
