Youth Work

Youth Work provides targeted support services to eligible young migrants/refugees with a focus on those aged 15-24 years.

Our Services Include:► Casework with clients and their families with referrals to main stream agencies and youth services► Workshops, orientation programs and information sessions covering a range of youth settlement issues► Homework support programs delivered in partnership with local schools to facilitate relationships between students, school, staff and parents/guardians. Programs are delivered in Newcastle and Armidale and supported by volunteers► School holiday programs and youth camps developed in partnership with other services► Leadership and mentoring training – engagement of youth identified as benefiting from self-esteem, leadership and life skills to become more self-sufficient and independent

► Promote volunteer opportunities with youth to develop skills and understanding of pathways to employment through participation in various programs

► Develop and strengthen educational and/or training opportunities
